Stefan D. Fink studied electrical engineering at the University of Munich with a focus on energy technology.

His training as a patent attorney was preceded by three years as a research fellow at the Forschungsstelle für Energiewirtschaft (Research Institute for Energy) in Munich, where he specialized in regenerative energy sources and battery-powered electric vehicles. He then spent two years in the patent department of Siemens AG, where he was in charge of semiconductor assembly technology, chip cards, and power semiconductors

Following this, he worked for three years in a Munich patent law firm, where he became registered as a European Patent and Trademark Attorney in 2001. In this position, he was entrusted with patent law issues as well as organizing client activities in connection with employee inventions law. After becoming licensed as a German Patent Attorney, he founded his own firm in 2003.

In 2005, he merged with Harald Numrich to form Fink Numrich Patentanwälte. As part of a re-branding, the name was changed to Fink Numrich Intellectual Property in 2021. 

Stefan D. Fink has extensive experience in all aspects of industrial property law. He is especially active in the fields of semiconductor technology, information technology, telecommunications, and software inventions. He is also specialized in circuits, energy technology, and automotive engineering.

Harald Numrich studied physics at the Friedrich-Alexander-University in Erlangen and Imperial College in London.

After earning a graduate degree in physics in 1995, he worked as a research fellow in the field of semiconductor technology at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Systems and Device Technology in Erlangen.

In 1998, Harald Numrich joined a patent law firm in Munich, where he worked as a patent engineer and became registered as a German Patent Attorney and European Patent and Trademark Attorney in 2002.

Thereafter, he worked in the patent department of Siemens AG in Munich where, as a patent counsel, he was responsible for all intellectual property issues in several research and development departments focusing on information and communication technology. He was also in charge of patent portfolios relating to video coding and multimedia standards.

Harald Numrich has extensive experience in all aspects of intellectual property law. He is specialized in technical protective rights in the fields of physics, information technology, software, semiconductor technology, mechanics, and mechanical engineering.

In 2004, Harald Numrich founded his own firm, which merged with the firm of Stefan D. Fink in 2005 to form Fink Numrich Patentanwälte. As part of a re-branding, the name was changed to Fink Numrich Intellectual Property in 2021.
